New Social Housing Handed Over In Waterford

Tenants in Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford, are preparing to pick up the keys to their new homes.

A social housing development has reached completion, bringing 16 new units to the area.

The development, Port na Machan, is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.


Anton Lennon, Executive Engineer with Waterford City and County Council, said: "Just some finishing touches have to applied to the homes and we're looking forward to handing the keys to the new occupants in the coming weeks. The houses are set in the beautiful village of Kilmacthomas and we're confident that the new occupiers will be very happy here."

John Somers Construction served as the main contractor and the design team was led by CJ Falconer & Associates.
