CEF Launches January Health And Safety Initiative

The Construction Employers Federation (CEF) is encouraging firms to focus on health and safety throughout January under its annual initiative.

Safety Reboot, which will take place over the next month, asks construction companies to stop work for about 15 minutes once a week to focus on key areas of health and safety.


Companies are encouraged to share images across social media using the hashtag #SafetyReboot.

Resources on 11 topics developed by the CEF Health & Safety Committee are available here. These include question packs and discussion aids on three new topics - asbestos, respirable crystalline silica and underground services.

The resources should be used to start conversation and interaction between the workforce on important health and safety issues that they encounter every day on site.
