An 'A-frame' litter picking station has been developed to run as a trial and has been placed at Killyfole Reservoir amenity site. The trial will be reviewed with the objective of potentially placing more frames in other locations throughout the district. The frame will serve as a hand sanitiser station and collect a bag and litter pickers.
The initiative supports the Council's current Litter Champion Scheme which encourages individuals to register with the Council as a volunteer to undertake to clean up their local area and also reinforces its commitment to the Leave No Trace principles.

Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson, said: "I am delighted to launch this new initiative aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to work with the Council to ensure our district remains an attractive place to live, work and visit.
"Our Street Scene Teams work hard to keep our district clean and the additional contribution by the public to support their efforts is very much appreciated.
