New Vision For Carryduff, Dundonald & Forestside Unveiled

A new vision for Carryduff, Dundonald and Forestside has been outlined in the refreshed Castlereagh Urban Framework (CUF).

The framework, which sets out Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council's (LCCC) regeneration and investment priorities for the area over the next 10 years, was revisited and rebranded as the CUF following the merger of Castlereagh Borough Council and Lisburn City Council in 2015.

Alderman Amanda Grehan, Chairman of the LCCC's Development Committee, said: "The revised CUF sets out a comprehensive programme of proposals to create attractive places within these urban areas, where visitors will want to spend time and money, encouraging further investment in the future.

"We want to shape a positive future for the Carryduff, Dundonald and Forestside areas and the council has been mindful of the importance of reviewing the strategic context of the CUF alongside the development of its Community Plan and Local Development Plan."
