Irish Water worked alongside Meath County Council to help Brayhill reservoir levels recover after mechanical issues at Trim Water Treatment Plant which caused production capacity issues.
Works are ongoing to resolve the mechanical issue which is impacting one treatment stream. Other treatment streams are working effectively however the production capacity has been reduced.

To help reservoir levels recover and maintain a sufficient water supply to homes and businesses during normal working hours, water supply was turned off from 10pm yesterday, Monday 08 November, until 5am this morning, Tuesday 9 November.
When water is turned back on it may take up to two hours for supply to be fully restored to all areas but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
Speaking about the restrictions, Michael Cunniffe, Irish Water said: "Irish Water understands the inconvenience these restrictions may cause. The night-time restrictions are necessary to ensure a daily water supply is available for residents and businesses for hygiene and other essential purposes. We are continuing to work to resolve the issues at the plant so that the plant can operate at full production capacity. We will continue to provide updates as the works progress."
