Work is to commence on a £116,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme in Craigavon on Friday, 21 May.
The scheme, which extends a distance of approximately 525 metres along the A3 Lake Road between Roundabout 5 and Roundabout 4, includes resurfacing of the carriageway and upgrading of road drainage.
Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon said: "This investment will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of this section of Lake Road, Craigavon to the benefit of local residents and those who travel through the area. I would like to thank the public and local residents in advance for their cooperation and ask that they comply with all temporary traffic restrictions while these much needed works are completed."
Due to the nature of the scheme it will be necessary to operate a road closure from 9pm on Friday 21 May to 6pm on Sunday 23 May and from 8am on Saturday 29 May to 6pm on Sunday 30 May. During these times a diversion will be in place for vehicles wishing to travel towards Portadown with traffic being diverted via Drumgor Road, Brownlow Road and Knockmenagh Road. Access for emergency services and the adjacent filling station will be maintained at all times during the works although some delays may be experienced.
The work is expected to be complete by 29 May.
