BAM Ireland has been appointed as the main contractor for a residential development in Dublin.
Marlet selected the company to build the development on Green Acre Grange.
Located beside Airfield's urban farm, the development will feature 253 one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments and a 200 sqm (2,100 sq ft) creche. Close to 4,000 sqm (43,000 sq ft) will be dedicated to landscaped communal areas with 500 sqm (5,400 sq ft) allocated to amenity spaces, such as a concierge, gym, cinema, lounges and meeting rooms as well as play and outdoor recreation areas.
Green Acre Grange will consist of three blocks conceived of as pavilions, strategically arranged to maximise light and take full advantage of the attractive surrounding views, creating a series of linked communal spaces. The buildings will all benefit from green roofs providing a high quality and sustainable living environment. Marlet recently agreed a financing facility with Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI) for €74million for Green Acre Grange With a completion date set for Q2 2022, construction recently started on site with installation of hoarding and site set up, commencement of foundation installation and erection of tower cranes.
As Ireland is facing its second lockdown since the beginning of the pandemic, Marlet proactively redesigned all residential units in Green Acre Grange to include home office areas in every apartment. Other features such as touch-free building access, top-of the range ventilation system and antibacterial door hardware will also be incorporated. Green Acre Grange is Marlet’s second residential development in the Dundrum area, with Walled Garden, a 142-apartment scheme due to be completed in Q4 2021.
Theo Cullinane, BAM Ireland CEO said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Marlet on yet another project, following our appointment as contractor for the One Lime Street development in August. Collaborating again with Marlet, this time on Green Acre Grange, and delivering 253 apartments for Dublin 14 is an exciting challenge."
