With Covid-19 outbreaks threatening the shutdown of construction sites nationally, MTN SHOP is striving to provide workers with the necessary safety equipment at wholesale prices.
Like many sectors throughout the Republic, the construction industry was hit hard as a result of the national lockdown earlier in the year, with a total of €17.9bn in project work having to be halted according to Construction Information Services (CIS). With continuing outbreaks threatening the closure of sites once more, MTN SHOP, a major online global distributor of industrial products, has taken their industry support program to the next level during these uncertain times through the distribution of construction essentials at wholesale pricing.
As a result of the large number of construction workers that were laid off for several months earlier this year, MTN is now looking to help these workers get back on their feet by offering a selection of their products at dealer pricing.
Managing Director, Ron Rose, said: "Our goal is to ensure that no one working to support our country’s infrastructure has to choose savings over safety. We must band together during these times of uncertainty and take care of those who put themselves at risk to preserve the infrastructure of this nation and support their families."
From hard hats to safety boots, MTN SHOP has a wide range of safety gear to kit out any construction worker from head to toe. MTN has also made it a priority to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic by introducing essential products for onsite safety to support the mandatory requirements of the state. The team introduced Thermal Scanning technology and sanitization products which will also be included in this promotion. MTN hopes to help reduce the risk of COVID outbreaks on-site as well as in the community.
To support a broader level of safety, MTN has taken an additional approach. When working on a construction site, it is important, as the popular saying goes, to "be safe and be seen". Such visibility is vitally important especially as we head into the winter months. Therefore, in addition to their special offer on construction gear, MTN SHOP are also offering customers a free hi-vis vest with every purchase.
MTN SHOP.eu, based in Dublin, is dedicated to supporting construction workers throughout Ireland as they try to navigate their way through these unpredictable times. Over the next number of weeks, they will be distributing posters at construction sites throughout the country with further details on how workers can avail of this fantastic offer.
