The improvement work will extend the full length of Thomas Street from its junction with Fountain Street to Charlemont Square. The scheme includes resurfacing of the carriageway and upgrading of road drainage.

A road closure between the hours of 8am and 6pm from today, Monday 12 October, until Friday 23 October has been put in place. During these times a diversion will be in place with traffic being diverted via Fountain Street, Charlemont Square and vice versa.
The road will be open to traffic in the evenings during the week and all day Saturday and Sunday. Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
