Construction News Image
Rapid Power Generation Ltd has entered the gas-fuelled generator market with the launch of a new partnership with Pramac-Generac.

The new agreement will see the company act as sole distributors of the Pramac industrial gas range of generators for the whole of Ireland.

Recognising the increase in demand for sustainable energy, the company has expanded its current product range of diesel powered generators to include natural gas-fuelled generator sets for standby and prime power use.

POWERED BY PROVEN TECHNOLOGY FROM GENERAC®

The Pramac industrial gas range uses proven technology from Generac® industrial spark ignited engines. Optimised for performance and responsiveness to load variations, and combined with modular design from Pramac, the new gas sets offer integrated control technology for ultimate flexibility, scalability and reliability for crucial loads.

GAS-FUELLED GENERATORS OFFER NUMEROUS ADVANTAGES

Gas-fuelled generators offer numerous advantages, including, faster and more cost-effective commissioning, extended run-time and increased power density. Environmental benefits include low noise output, no black smoke on start up or load change, low NOx, CO2 and virtually no particle matter emissions, ensuring MCPD compliance.

Together, the two companies have a combined total of 4,000 employees and are the world’s third largest power generation group.

NEW LAUNCH MEETS DEMAND FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Rapid Power Generation, formerly A1 Power Systems Ltd, manufacture standard and bespoke generating sets from 10kVA – 2500kVA. Manufactured using only premium Volvo, Scania and Perkins engines, Mecc Alte alternators and Deep Sea controls, Rapid Power Generation’s range includes open-set, soundproof canopied and containerised generator options.

Barry Taaffe, Technical Director at Rapid Power Generation, commented: "We're delighted to enter the gas-fuelled generator market through the launch of our new partnership with Pramac-Generac.
