ESB Networks was on hand to restore the facility after it was disrupted due to storm conditions.
The plant has restarted and treated water leaving the plant is fully compliant and safe for consumption. Customers will now have a normal water supply.

Tim O'Connor, Irish Water said: "We would like to thank ESB Networks for prioritising power restoration works on Inis Meain. We would also like to thank our customers for their patience and cooperation while these works were being carried out.
"The water treatment plant is now fully operational and customers should receive a normal supply of water by this evening or tonight at the latest. Any customer who continues to experience a water outage later tonight should report it to the Irish Water customer care helpline on 1850 278 278."
