The leading facilities management contractor will also continue to provide the council with all of its Legionella control related training requirements.

The Ards and North Down Borough Council contract, covering a period of one-year with a possible two-year extension, is a new partnership that requires GRAHAM to manage and monitor Legionella across 85 council buildings.

Commenting on the latest contract awards, GRAHAM Operations Director Martin Gillespie said: "These high-profile contracts strengthen our water hygiene portfolio in Northern Ireland and reflect our growing reputation for delivering best in class compliance services. We are already servicing Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and the addition of two further contracts with major councils is testament to the expertise that we offer.

"It's particularly pleasing to have been awarded a third consecutive term with Derry City and Strabane District Council, which demonstrates the consistently high standards of service that our team has been providing. New business with Ards and North Down Borough Council is also a great opportunity for us to put our stamp on Legionella service provision in this significant council area."

Offering consultancy and training expertise, GRAHAM's services ensure the prevention of potentially fatal waterborne pathogens, scale and corrosion as well as the creation of optimum performance conditions for industrial water systems.
