The local authority is undertaking works along the metals as part of the project. Contractor Clonmel Construction will resurface the walkway between the Lexicon and the Peoples Park in two stages.

Stage 1 will see the walkway resurfaced between the People's Park and the bridge connecting the Metals with the East Pier. This will take place from Monday 02 December to Friday 06 December.
Stage 2 will run between the bridge and the Lexicon and will take place from Monday 09 December to Friday 13 December.
Signage will be put in place directing pedestrians and cyclists to the parallel route along the seafront.
