South Dublin Applications Sought For Town & Village Scheme

Community groups and businesses in the South Dublin County Council district have been urged to submit applications under the 2019 Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

The council is seeking Expressions of Interest for projects under the scheme which will support the revitalisation of towns and villages.

This scheme will be targeted at two categories of Towns/Villages, with 60% of funding being made available for towns and villages with a population of less than 5,000 people, and the remainder left for towns with a population of 5,001 to 10,000 people.


Up to 80% of the total cost of a project under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme will be provided for any individual project. The minimum grant which is available is €20,000 and the maximum is €100,000. A higher maximum of €200,000 will be considered for a limited number of projects where a robust case demonstrating exceptionally strong economic benefit to the town or village can be made.

Funding is provided through the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural, and Gaeltacht Affairs

The deadline for Expressions of Interest to be received is 4pm on Friday 07 June.
