FP McCann has been appointed to carry out a regeneration project worth £202,000 in Magherafelt.
The council funded scheme will see pedestrian walkways on Broad Street improved, at the entrances to Union Road and Central Car Parks.
The Department for Communities invested £160,706 in the project, while a further £41,294 was contributed by Mid Ulster District Council.
The concrete solutions firm will remove graffiti, upgrade footpaths and improve lighting, street furniture and drainage.
Paul McNaught from the Department for Communities said: "This additional funding for Magherafelt will upgrade two important linkages in the town centre. The improved pedestrian experience should attract more people to the area which will help support local businesses and enable the town to continue to develop its status as a welcoming place to visit and shop."
Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Sean McPeake, commented: "This project will revitalise otherwise rundown alleyways in the town. I look forward to seeing the project develop."
The latest development for Magherafelt will build on the public realm scheme completed in 2016 which has recently been named as a finalist in the Royal Town Planners Institute (RTPI) awards.
