Derry City and Strabane District Council is hosting a public information event on Tuesday 12 February from 5-8pm at Sion Mills Primary School on the plans.
The local authority's Parks Development Manager Helen Turton said: "We are really keen to hear the views of local people on where they want a new play facility that will benefit everyone in Sion Mills village. As future users of a new play park, it is important to take on board the views of the community before progressing this project further.

"As a Council, we understand the importance of outdoor play for children and we have invested a lot in play parks and facilities throughout our District over the last few years. We hope that this initiative in Sion Mills will enhance our play offering further and we urge anyone with young children or an interest in this issue to drop into Sion Mills Primary School on Tuesday evening or email me directly at helen.turton@derrystrabane.com."
