Local Views Sought On Pitch Proposal At Porterstown Park

Construction News Image
Local views are being sought on plans for an all-weather running track and sports pitch at Porterstown Park in Dublin 15.

The new facility would be made available for groups in the wider Blanchardstown area, offering Fingal County Council's first public floodlit all-weather athletics track.

The Council is engaging with local sports clubs on plans for the track and third generation sports pitch.

Director of Planning and Strategic Infrastructure, AnnMarie Farrelly said: "This continues the council's commitment to deliver state-of-the-art facilities in the Dublin 15 area. It is really important that the local residents can see facilities being delivered to their communities.

"The public consultation allows the public to raise any issues they may have with the proposal, which the council always takes into consideration."

The plans can be viewed at Fingal County Council Offices and County Council, Civic Offices in Blanchardstown until 06 March. They can also be seen online here.

The deadline for submissions or observations regarding the proposal is 5pm on Thursday 21 March 2019.
