The BHIS is a fund which helps assist with works to safeguard structures protected under the Planning and Development Act 2000. It also supports work to structures within Architectural Conservation Areas.

The Historic Structures Fund has been introduced to care for and restore historic structures and buildings for the benefit of communities and the public.
The local authority will be accepting applications for both schemes until 31 January 2019.
