Ballycastle Shared Education Campus Secures €3.1m Funding Boost

The Ballycastle Shared Education Campus has secured a funding boost of €3.1 million from the Peace 4 Shared Spaces Programme, Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

The funds will help deliver the community sports element of the project, between Cross and Passion College and Ballycastle High School on the Moyle Road.


Causeway Coast and Glens Council has committed to working with both schools to create new sports facilities.

The work will include the creation of an enlarged sports hall and upgrade of the grass soccer pitch to a 3G synthetic surface with floodlighting. Floodlighting will also be installed to the GAA and hockey synthetic pitches.

Sinn Féin's North Antrim MLA Philip McGuigan welcomed the funding.

He added: "We will continue to work with Council and meet with the schools and Education Authority, to ensure the work is progressed as quickly as possible."
