A total of 44 new homes have been delivered in Dundrum as part of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council's social housing programme.
The new builds comprise of 32 family homes and 12 apartments set around a shared community green.
Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy TD and An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Ossian Smyth officially opened the Rosemount Court development today, 07 December.
The Minister said: "Today is all about the people that are going to get a new home. The Government is absolutely committed to helping people and families in need of a home. As someone who is working day in day out trying to fix the problems we have in housing it really encourages me when I can help out with occasions like today."
An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Smyth, added: "I am delighted with the progress of the Dun Laoghaire- Rathdown housing programme. The building of new homes remains a major pillar of our housing delivery programme, with 101 houses completed so far this year and a further 50 to be completed in the coming weeks. Like all homes constructed by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, these homes have been built to a high quality, and are in residential areas with access to amenities and services."
DLR County Council Architects and Townlink Construction worked on the project.
