New Landmark Hotel Opens In Dublin

Construction News Image
A new landmark hotel has opened in Dublin, featuring an underground cinema and rooftop bar.

The Devlin, located in Raneleagh, includes 40 rooms (ModPods) alongside its rooftop restaurant, terrace and cocktail bar and 42-seater subterranean cinema.

Press Up Entertainment Group collaborated with designers, O'Donnell O'Neill Design Associates, and Lawrence & Long Architects to complete the development, using innovative techniques.

The development was fitted out by Northern Ireland specialist Pure Fitout with bespoke marble features and handmade carpets.

Portuguese and Italian marble were carved by the Pure Fitout team to create the bars and table tops throughout Layla's Rooftop Restaurant, Stella Theatre and the Americana Bar, while hand-picked Moroccan tiling was used to construct the roof top pizza oven and line the bathrooms.

Five specialist timbers feature throughout the hotel, including the Iroko panelling of the Americana Bar, pitch pine ceilings in Layla's restaurant and walnut burl to the free standing case goods throughout.

Made specially by Pure Fitout's in-house metal fabricators, the team also crafted bespoke bronze and brass finishes for one-of-a-kind features throughout each of the 40 bedrooms and a bronze illuminated back bar to compliment the leather interior of the Americana Bar.

Down below, the 1970s-inspired Stella Theatre includes its own hand carved marble bar and classic mid-century furniture with lamps fitted beside each.

A mirrored ceiling along the bedroom corridors and a unique, client commissioned carpet completes the boutique hotel's interior.

Ronan Higham, Founder and Managing Director of Pure Fitout, said: "We are delighted to have helped turn the vision behind The Devlin into reality. For a place like The Devlin, the warm and luxurious character comes from the bespoke one-of-a-kind statement features and careful selection of high quality materials.

"We're proud to have helped create another amazing environment which is our first exclusive hotel fit out, with Press Up Entertainment Group. Having worked with Press Up on several projects since we were founded in 2015, we're consistently appreciative of the vision and ground-breaking designs that we have the pleasure of bringing to life."
