The new vehicle, which has additional brushes to carry out specific work on roundabouts, traffic islands and other road structures, brings the total number of road sweepers for Strabane town and District area to three.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor John Boyle, said the new sweeper will help service new housing developments in the District by keeping communities clean.
"Having a dedicated road sweeper lorry for Strabane town and two others vehicles for the surrounding villages including Artigarvan, Donemana, Ballymagorry, Sion Mills, Castlederg and Magheramason will be a great asset for the local area," he said.
