NIHE Interim Vice-Chair Appointment Extended Until October

The Department for Communities has extended the appointment of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive's (NIHE) Interim Vice-Chair by a further six months.

Gregory Lomax, who has been a NIHE Board Member since April 2013, has had his role as a NIHE Board Member extended from 15 April 2018 until 14 October 2018.

During a long career in social housing, Mr Lomax had been the Deputy Chief Executive at the Housing Corporation which was responsible for the development of new social housing in England and Wales.


He then became the Managing Director of Thamesmead Town in south east London before working for the Greater London Authority on the London Plan – the spatial development for Greater London.

As a former Interim Chief Executive of Helm Housing in Belfast, Mr Lomax has chaired several housing associations in England. In recent years he has advised many Boards of housing organisations on governance, development and management and merger issues.
