The notice was put in place over the summer and following recent heavy rainfall and a reduction in demand the water has now been restocked.
Irish Water tankered 80 boat loads of water to the island to keep up with demand when the restriction was in place.
Irish Water's Operations Water lead for Galway City and County, Ger Greally, commented: "Water supply levels on Inis Mór and Inis Oirr were at critically low levels during the summer which necessitated these night time restrictions. Thankfully recent rain and a reduction in demand has enabled us to lift the restrictions which remained in place on Inis Oirr.

"We would ask customers to always be mindful of their water consumption habits and to check your home for leaks, turn off taps while brushing teeth, shower rather than bathe, ensure washing machines and dishwashers are fully loaded before use and to generally ensure water, which is a scare commodity and expensive to treat, is conserved."
