Work On New Fitness Suite In South Belfast Complete

Work on a new fitness suite at a leisure centre in south Belfast has been completed.

Lough Moss Leisure Centre in Carryduff has officially opened its new fitness suite, following an investment of £300,000 by Pulse Group to create a new modern facility in partnership with Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.

The investment in the centre has seen the creation of a modern fitness suite with cutting edge equipment as well as a choice of new fitness classes to encourage users to take their first steps to an active lifestyle or enhance their current level of fitness.

Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Tim Morrow said: "Lough Moss Leisure Centre has a proud history of serving the local community over the last 25 years by offering a host of classes and activities suitable for all ages. This includes a new state of the art boxing studio, a trim trail with outdoor gym and children's playground, which are all recent additions to the centre over recent years.

"Sporting excellence also plays a pivotal role in the centre's achievements with great success in a number of disciplines such as hockey, soccer, martial arts and basketball to name but a few. The centre also offers a number of specialised courses through the Safe and Well Project and Every Body Active 2020 programme to help encourage people who have been inactive take their first steps to a lifetime of sustained participation in sport.

"The Council is therefore delighted to welcome the addition of the Pulse Group to Lough Moss Leisure Centre to complement the superb range of activities and programmes available in the centre. I would like to wish the team every success and I am confident that their knowledge and support will provide a great experience for all of our customers."
