Essential Maintenance Work On Water Main To Begin

Essential maintenance work is to start on a water main supplying Howth, Sutton, Baldoyle, Kilbarrack Lower, Grange Road and surrounding areas in Dublin.

The work will begin at 10pm on Saturday, 01 July, and is expected to be completed by 10pm on Sunday, 02 July.

The work is necessary to improve the security of the water supply to customers in Howth, Sutton, Baldoyle, Kilbarrack Lower, Grange Road and surrounding areas.

Shane Tynan, Irish Water's Operations Lead for Dublin, said: "We would like to apologise to our customers in Howth, Sutton, Baldoyle, Kilbarrack Lower, Grange Road and surrounding areas for any inconvenience that may be caused as a result of this essential work. Our priority in carrying out this essential work is to keep any disruption to residents and businesses to an absolute minimum. The work is being carried out to improve the security of the water supply to customers.

"Should customers in the areas that are served by the water main experience a loss in water supply a number of mobile tankers will be available on Sunday, 2 July. We are asking customers that have no water supply due to the upgrade work to contact us on 01 864 3634 to arrange for a mobile tanker to come to their area. Customers can also contact Irish Water’s customer helpline 24/7 on 1850 278 2787."
