Council Seeks Proposals For Dungannon Development Site

Mid Ulster District Council is seeking proposals for a newly released development site in Dungannon.

The 4.12-acre site on Ann Street, which has been vacant for a number of years, is now being released for future development activity.

Councillor Trevor Wilson said: "The Ann Street site has been long regarded as Dungannon's flagship opportunity site and we would hope that future construction on the land will be a catalyst for further development activity in the area.


"The decision to dispose of the site by way of Development Brief is being driven by the need to ensure that a quality, urban regeneration scheme, that will return this vacant opportunity site to a viable and sustainable economic use, is delivered."

Lloyd Hannigan of Lisney, the appointed selling agent, added: "Proposals are being sought for a mixed use, ideally retail led scheme which we envisage will appeal to a wide range of developers, given that we have already dealt with a number of unsolicited expressions of interest prior to the commencement of marketing."

The deadline for development proposals is 12 noon on Friday, 12 May.
