Choice has invested in an Energy Management Team and introduced a number of targets including the reduction of energy consumption by five percent over three years.

Niall Sheridan, Group Director of Development & Asset management of Choice Housing said: "This is an important achievement for us and it represents validation of our approach and longstanding commitment to improve our environment and how we work. Our staff, tenants and partners can have confidence that we are working to reduce our carbon footprint and energy costs.

"We continually look to improve the efficiency of customer homes and also the support and advice we are able to provide. This highly-sought accreditation highlights our commitment and we are proud to have our efforts recognised in this way."
