The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) confirmed the framework, which is estimated to be valued at up to €23 million per year, will be available for use by public bodies in the central government and education sectors, as well as An Garda Síochána, the Irish Prison Service and the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and the HSE.

The framework will only be available for use by public bodies that had a total waste management services spend over the last two years of more than €25,000. This means that smaller waste management services contracts are not in scope, and remain available for local competition.
A Bidder Briefing will take place on 12 January.
