£1.75m Social Housing Development Opens In Coleraine

A £1.75 million social housing development has officially opened in Coleraine.

The site at Lisnablagh Road in Harpurs Hill was supported by NI Executive, through the Department for Communities through a Housing Executive Housing Association £925,000 grant. The remaining funding was provided through private finance secured by Triangle Housing Association.

The scheme was designed by RPP Architects and construction work was carried out by contractor MJ McBride Construction.

Communities Minister Paul Givan said: "The provision of this housing development is the result of much hard work and determination from all parties including Triangle Housing Association, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Cross Glebe Community Association. I congratulate Triangle for once again providing high quality homes which the residents I have spoken to are extremely pleased and proud to live in."

Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has welcomed the opening of 20 new social homes in the Harpur's Hill area of Coleraine.

She said: "The new housing development in Harpurs Hill is to be welcomed and will provide people in the area with modern and high-quality homes.

"I commend all those involved in the project including Triangle Housing Association, the Housing Executive and Cross Glebe Community Association for their hard work to secure this £1.75 million scheme."
