Protection Of Social Housing Stock Is 'Crucial' For Future Generations - SF

The protection of the social housing stock is "crucial" for future generations, according to Sinn Féin MLA Fra McCann.

He also called for the house sales scheme to be suspended after it was revealed 100,000 social homes had been sold off.


Mr McCann said: "We have a duty to protect what is left of the social housing stock for future generations.

"Recently the Scottish Assembly passed legislation stopping the house sales scheme. The Welsh Assembly is in the process of doing the same as they realise the protection of social housing stock is crucial.

"We also need to take action to halt the further erosion of our social housing stock."
