€22m Allocated To Develop Over 70 Social Homes In Dublin

A total of €22 million has been allocated to develop over 70 social housing and community facilities in Dublin.

The development of 72 apartments will be located at Dominick Street in the heart of Dublin City.

The Minister for Environment, Simon Coveney, approved the funding and said the project will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of the area as a whole.


Minister Coveney said: "An investment in this area is also a priority from a social policy perspective, encompassing social housing improvements as well as supporting social, community and economic renewal. This development is one of the first new major regeneration projects in Dublin’s north inner city, which has seen more than its share of challenges in recent times. The investment reflects this Government’s commitment to an urban regeneration programme that empowers people to work together to improve their communities and the quality of life for all who live within them."
