NI Water To Host 'Drop In' Session To Discuss Sewer Laying Project In Co Down

NI Water has announced it is to host a 'drop in' information session to discuss sewer laying work in Holywood, Co Down.

Work on the project, which is on the Belfast Road, is to start in mid-July and the local community have been invited to discuss the scheme at Holywood Baptist Church on Wednesday, 22 June, from 4pm to 7pm.

The work will involve the laying of approximately 430m of sewer along the Belfast Road.


The Belfast Road will remain open in both directions with two-way traffic controlled by the use of temporary traffic lights during the majority of the work. However, a road closure will be necessary for safety reasons to complete a deep section of sewer between house numbers 50 and 32.

In a statement NI Water said: "We anticipate that the road closure will be in place for approximately three weeks during August /September; this is subject to agreement with Transport NI.

"NI Water would like to thank the public for their patience and co-operation while this essential work is completed."
