The Clanmil Housing homes on the Beechvale Road were commended in the Best Social Housing project category.
The scheme includes three houses and two apartments with a contemporary design reflecting an old blacksmith's building directly opposite the site. Floor to ceiling windows in some of the homes maximise natural light and heat from the sun.

The scheme was funded by Clanmil and the former Department for Social Development.
Greg Woods, Clanmil's Architectural Advisor, said: "We are delighted that our Killinchy scheme has been Commended in this year’s Royal Society of Ulster Architects Design Awards.
"We are very proud of the new homes at Beechvale Road and their carefully crafted design. A lot of thought and effort went into designing and developing homes that our tenants could feel proud of and which are an asset to this community."
