Leisure Centre Car Park To Close Following Ongoing Regeneration Work

The Brooke Centre Leisure Centre car park in Co L'Derry is to close due to ongoing regeneration work.

A car parking provision will be provided at the rear of the new Contact Sports Centre.

Contractors Woodvale Construction require more time to carry out the works.

Parks Development Manager with Derry City and Strabane District Council, Colin Kennedy, said: "Council apologises in advance for any disruption caused while the work is being completed. We would also like to advise the public and park users that the appointed contractor Woodvale Construction Ltd will require more time on site to complete their contract.


"This is largely due to the very inclement weather experienced last winter which has had a knock on impact on the contractor's schedule. The works programme will now extend closer to the end of June and we really appreciate the cooperation of the public in the delivery of such a major project for the city."
