£1 million has been allocated to refurbish the canteen at St Louis's in Ballymena.
Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay welcomed the announcement.
He said: "I am absolutely delighted that our work to secure capital improvements to St Louis' in Ballymena has paid off. Over the last number of years I have done a number of meetings with Education officials and brought the Education Minister out to see the terrible state of the canteen in the school.

"He has now announced that £1 million has been allocated for this work which will begin in July of this year. This is fantastic news and is the latest in a number of capital investments announced for the Ballymena area by the Sinn Féin Education Minister."
A statement from the school said: "We look forward to plan being drawn up and tenders for the work to be submitted in the few months.
"It is hoped work will begin on our new build in the early summer and be completed by Autumn 2016."
