Work Continues On £55m Dualling Scheme

Significant progress is being made on a £55 million dualling project in Northern Ireland.

Work on the A26 Glarryford to A44 Drones Road scheme is continuing and the 8km dual carriageway scheme will consist of a new roundabout at the A44 Drones Road junction, as well as a number of flyover junctions along the route.


Transport Minister, Michelle McIlveen, said: "The project represents a significant £55million investment by the Northern Ireland Executive in the roads infrastructure in the area and provides a welcome boost for the local construction industry.

"Once completed this scheme will help improve road safety, reduce congestion and improve journey times for the 18,000 vehicles which travel it every day for tourism and work."
