35 New Homes In £4m Ulster Bank Supported Investment

Construction News Image
Over 35 new homes are being built in a £4 million investment by a local development firm, supported by Ulster Bank.

32 properties are being developed at Ballynure Road in Ballyclare as part of the investment by Cultra Developments Limited, along with five detached houses in Carrickfergus.

Work has begun at the Carrickfergus site, just off the town's North Road, whilst the third phase of the Riverhill Manor development in Ballyclare is under way.

James Patterson of Cultra Developments said that the scheme has been selling well to date.

"Riverhill Manor will include a mix of townhouses, semi-detached properties, and detached homes, largely aimed at the first time buyer market. We have seen strong demand for the first phase and anticipate that the second phase will be equally as popular," he said.

"We are working closely with Ulster Bank on our schemes and the bank’s support has been essential to making them happen," he added.

Kenton Hilman, Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking NI at Ulster Bank, said that the bank is pleased to support the investment which has helped sustain jobs in the local construction sector and will provide high quality homes for local people.

He continued: "Ulster Bank has £1.5 billion to lend to businesses this year across a range of sectors, including residential development. We are keen to support all good business plans and have the funding available to do so. We're keen to support home ownership, whether that’s through initiatives like this, or by introducing some of our lowest-ever mortgage rates earlier this year."
