The funding, which is part of the July Stimulus, will help towards critical remedial works, maintenance and strengthening of the road network at national, regional and local level.
Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD, said: "This spend has a wide geographic spread and will have positive economic impact. The €10 million will be allocated mainly to pavement works on our national road network but also includes for a junction improvement project which is important in terms of facilitating business expansion.

"The funding, being allocated to Transport Infrastructure Ireland (formerly known as the NRA) will enable the commencement of critical pavement works on national road network as well as some economically important upgrades. The €10m in stimulus funding comes on top of the €363.7m allocated to Transport Infrastructure Ireland for national road schemes in 2015."
