Finance Minister Urged To Cooperate With NAMA Inquiry

The Finance Minister is being urged to cooperate with the NAMA Inquiry being carried out by Northern Ireland's Finance Committee.

Minister Michael Noonan has been called to make himself and his department officials available to the committee.

Sinn Féin Junior Finance spokesperson Peadar Tóibín said: "His failure thus far to give any sort of cooperation to the committee is unacceptable. He cannot simply close his eyes and pretend the inquiry is not happening.


"I also want to put the Minister and the government on notice that Sinn Féin will be bringing forward a Private Members' Motion in September to call for a full commission of investigation into NAMA and its dealings both on the Northern loan book sales process and its broader operations."
