Sinn Fein Dublin City Councillor Janice Boylan, reiterated the desperate need for more quality, affordable housing to be made available.
Councillor Boylan said she is constantly being contacted by people who are in desperate need of housing.

She said: "This government's approach has been too slow to address the ever increasing demand for quality affordable housing. It has failed on many levels to address the needs, of not only the people in the inner city, but in the country as a whole.
"The housing and homeless crisis that the country is currently facing is a direct result of a failed attempt and a lack of desire to address the recurring housing demand and need. This government and its predecessors have had ample opportunities to build much needed homes but chose instead to inflict austerity measures on those who are struggling and in greatest need."
