"I would like to congratulate FP McCann on its appointment to deliver these key public realm schemes which will revitalise the town centres of Newtownards, Comber and Donaghadee."

The Newtownards scheme will enhance the town's competitiveness; the Comber scheme is a milestone in strengthening Comber's presentation and will help encourage businesses to grow, while the Donaghadee scheme is an important accomplishment in meeting the key challenges identified in its Town Strategy to help maximise employment creation.

The £10.3million works will begin in all three town centres within the next few weeks with Comber and Donaghadee schemes scheduled for completion in July 2015 and the Newtownards scheme by the summer of 2016.
