Vayu Launches Energy Management Portal

Construction News Image
Vayu has completed the rollout of its MyVayu energy management portal as part of a multi-million euro technology investment.

It will cater for its growing Irish customer base and expansion into the UK energy market. The online platform provides businesses with a suite of analytical tools to manage their energy consumption more efficiently and to optimise their electricity and gas procurement decisions.

Backed up by market intelligence from Vayu's team of energy analysts, the MyVayu platform acts as a single resource to enable business managers take more active control of their energy costs. The web-based system provides finance and procurement managers with interactive tools to model changes in energy demand over different timeframes; review detailed reports on energy performance; and assess potential savings in real-time using scenario-based analysis.

Wayne Kelly, Head of IT & Systems says: "Energy is one of the largest cost components for Irish businesses and yet many managers struggle to make the right procurement decisions for their organisation. This is where our new portal excels, by providing a user-friendly tool to help decision makers manage their energy needs more effectively.

"We believe technology has an enormously important role to play as a disruptive force in the Irish energy sector by putting businesses in the driving seat and allowing them to take full control of their energy decisions. This is the future of energy procurement and an area that sets Vayu apart from traditional utilities that provide static data in the form of online invoices and usage data."
