Local Councillor Jim O'Callaghan thanked all of the people involved in the refurbishment process.
He said: "I also want to acknowledge the very important role played by the City Council Parks Department and the volunteers from all the local clubs who devote so much of their time to keeping children involved and interested in sport."

The refurbished facility now provides local clubs with four adult changing rooms with en suite communal showers; two junior changing rooms; a referee changing room with shower and toilet; an accessible shower and toilet; male and female toilets; storage room, services room and upgrade of external areas.
