Phoenix Scoops Marketing Award

Phoenix Natural Gas was one of the big winners at this year's annual Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland Awards dinner.

The event was held at the Ramada hotel in Belfast this month.

Phoenix picked up the overall local award for best marketing and sales campaign 2013. This was in recognition of the success of their oil boiler scrappage scheme initiative and its promotion.

As a result of Phoenix's multi-media campaign, traffic to their website rose by over 10,000 visitors and average weekly gas connections over the period of activity uplifted by around 21%.


Simon Little from Phoenix Natural Gas said: "Measurement and impact showed the judges that this was a highly successful campaign that led to real delivery in terms of business performance. However the most satisfying thing about the campaign was that its noted success, we believe, played a key part in encouraging the NI Executive to implement its own publicly funded version of the scheme.

"The Department for Social Development's Boiler Replacement Allowance continues to be a resounding success and great credit is due to the Minister and his officials for introducing it as a way of lowering energy bills for many families right across Northern Ireland."
