Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced that an Omagh based company is investing to strengthen its position in South Africa.
Terex Finlay, a global leader in tracked mobile materials processing machinery, is locating two key marketing and engineering support staff in Johannesburg to support a new distributor to drive faster growth in this and neighbouring markets.
Arlene Foster will join Terex Finlay at the inaugural Bauma Africa trade show in Johannesburg, where the company is sharing a stand with its new distributor, Bell Equipment.
The Minister, who is leading an Invest NI trade mission to South Africa, said: "Terex Finlay already has a strong presence in South Africa and is now implementing an ambitious strategy designed to strengthen its position in a market it regards as being of utmost importance to its profitable growth.
"Locating experienced marketing and engineering staff in South Africa will give the company significant expertise on the ground to work with its distributor and represents a substantial investment in this dynamic marketplace."
Nigel Irvine, Terex Finlay's Sales and Marketing Director, said: "Locating staff in the market and our new distributorship together represent a major statement of intent to accelerate our growth and enhance our position as the market leader in South Africa. This commitment is evidenced by our decision to have four machines targeted to the needs of the local sub-Saharan market on the Bell Equipment stand at Bauma."
