IDA Ireland has welcomed the announcement that Novartis is establishing its regional business services centre, at the Elm Park Business Campus, Dublin.
The centre has been operating to date at the Novartis Beech Hill Office Campus in Dublin.
Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said: "Novartis, which is a key strategic IDA client, is the world's second largest pharmaceutical company and has significant existing operations in Ireland and will now have 4 sites across Dublin and Cork.
"The company's decision to locate its regional business services centre in Dublin is an excellent endorsement of Ireland's pro-business environment and track record in attracting key players in the pharmaceutical sector. It is particularly pleasing that Novartis chose the Elm Park location because of the services available and transportation infrastructure. IDA's property division supported Novartis in arriving at an appropriate property solution for its needs."
Nine of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies have operations in Ireland - predominantly involved in development and manufacturing (D+M).
