Chambers Ireland has announced the shortlist for the 2013 Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
Celebrating their tenth year, the Awards continue to go from strength to strength with a record number of applications received this year.
The Awards are partnered with Business in the Community Ireland, sponsored by BAM Contractors and run in association with the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government. The winners will be presented with award pieces from Tipperary Crystal's Louise Kennedy range.
Announcing the shortlist, Ian Talbot, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive said: "Every year, we are hugely impressed by the quality of the entries to our CSR awards and this year is no exception. The 2013 shortlist shows that more and more companies are committing to the values of corporate social responsibility as a core business process. I warmly congratulate all of the shortlisted entrants."
Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan T.D. continued: "It is great to see a record number of companies entering these awards. It is a clear indication that Irish businesses are taking their responsibilities to the environment and their local communities seriously. I am delighted that my Department is sponsoring these awards for the tenth year. I have no doubt that all the entries, but especially those shortlisted, are of a similar high standard to previous years."
Tina Roche, CEO of Business in the Community Ireland, added: "We all want to put Ireland's reputation as a place to do responsible business at the top of our agendas. As the network for responsible business we know this is crucial for competitiveness, inward investment and attracting key talent. Consumers, media and our communities want ethical, sustainable companies to be the standard in Ireland – this shortlist shows that those standards are achievable. Congratulations to all on the shortlist."
