Savills To Place Another Site In Churchtown

Following the growing number of residential site sales in recent months, Savills have now been instructed to place another attractive site Churchtown on the open market for sale.

It comprises approximately 0.48 acres and is located beside the popular Castle Golf Club, near the Bottle Tower.

The property comprises a cleared regular-shaped development site at Castle Court, fronting Whitehall Road. It extends to approximately 0.48 acres approximately and benefits from its quiet position next to the Castle Golf Club to the rear. It is located just 500 m from Nutgrove Shopping Centre and Retail Park and 1.8 km from Dundrum Town Centre.

The property is zoned 'A' "to protect and / or improve residential amenity". Uses permitted in principle include Residential and Retirement Home while Crèche/Nursery School, Funeral Home, Petrol Station, Place of Public Worship, Restaurant, Shop Neighbourhood and Sports Facility are all open for consideration.

The wider area has seen a significant amount of development in recent years including Dundrum Town Centre and the Luas, both a short journey away. The immediate area is mainly characterised by two-storey semi-detached and detached residential units. There is also a small residential scheme located adjacent to the subject property, referred to as Berwick Hall, named after the adjoining Berwick House. One of the more notable residential developments in the immediate vicinity is Hazelbrook Square, which had been development by Capel Developments.

Jonathan Preston, Head of Development at Savills said: "Acquisition activity in this sector of the south Dublin market is continuing to thrive and we are very encouraged by the confidence currently being shown by builders and investors. We can see this from sale of a number of similarly sized sites in the general area."
