Works Continue On 'Belfast On The Move'

Work on the second phase of the Belfast on the Move continued this week with the introduction of new traffic management arrangements.

Following the resurfacing of Grosvenor Road between Durham Street and Fisherwick Place, only one lane will be available for traffic turning left into Fisherwick Place.

In addition, the lane markings on Howard Street, between Upper Queen Street and Fisherwick Place, will be amended to improve the flow of traffic.


These changes are expected to come into operation on Friday 19 April.

A spokesperson for the Department for Regional Development said: "Traffic approaching the city centre on Grosvenor Road should be aware of the new lane arrangements. From Friday 19 April only one lane is available for traffic turning left into Fisherwick Place.

"Motorists using this route can expect some delays and should consider using alternative routes, such as Durham Street and College Square North."
